Now Recruiting Offshore Crew
for Global Circumnavigation

I’m seeking experienced sailors to join Song, a Tripp-designed Hinckley H-48 yawl, for a multi-year circumnavigation beginning in 2025. The boat has been thoroughly refit for extended offshore sailing and will be crewed in rotating legs, with selection based on capability, experience, and availability.

The itinerary begins in New England and proceeds south to the Caribbean via Bermuda. From there, Song will transit the Panama Canal and cross the Pacific, with planned stops in the Galápagos, Marquesas, Tuamotus, Society Islands, Cook Islands, Tonga, and New Zealand. The Indian Ocean leg includes Australia, Cocos (Keeling), Mauritius, and South Africa. The return to the Atlantic will route through St. Helena and Brazil, before concluding in the Caribbean and ultimately back in New England.

I’m looking for crew who are confident in offshore watchkeeping, sail handling, and general seamanship. Mechanical, electrical, or rigging experience is a strong plus. This is not a delivery or charter—it involves overnight passages, varied weather conditions, and active involvement in the maintenance and operation of the vessel. Applicants must have at least 15,000 miles of offshore experience. All expenses, including airfare, will be covered, plus $1,000 per month in compensation.

Meet the capitan,
Michael Labadie

Song is the fifteenth and final Hinckley H-48 built - a rare and graceful classic launched in 1973. Designed by William Tripp Jr., the 48.25-foot yawl features a sweeping sheer, spoon bow, and overhanging stern that give it a timeless profile
